Description

This role will work directly with the Director of Strategy and Chief Data Officer for the City, including on driving the implementation of the Data Strategy. The Policy and Strategy Department, in the Future Planning & Resilience Directorate, work across all the functions of City government. This role will give the successful applicant exposure to a wide range of strategy, policy, and data analytics work on the most pressing challenges facing city governments. The role requires working with professional teams across a range of disciplines and represents an opportunity for growth and impact for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• To coordinate and manage projects that will enable the work of the Policy & Strategy Department
• Project coordination in support of Director Strategy and Chief Data Officer
• Support the implementation of the City Data Strategy
• Coordination and management of projects to ensure they are planned, managed and delivered effectively
• Communication with internal and external stakeholders
• Provide research and analysis support to the Director or project leads
• Provide direct administrative and assistant support to the Director/Chief Data Officer
• Facilitates integration within the Department

Qualifications

• A relevant 3-year tertiary qualification, preferable a degree in Project Management
• 2 years relevant experience
• Computer proficiency
